Gunfire Erupts in Obajana: Nigerian Troops Battle Terrorists

Gunfire erupted between Nigerian troops and suspected terrorists in Obajana, Kogi State, near the Dangote Cement plant on Saturday night, January 10, 2026. Security forces were conducting clearance operations when they engaged the terrorists attempting to infiltrate the community, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama. Eyewitnesses described the gunfire as intense, happening opposite the Line 3 gate of Dangote’s Obajana Cement Plant.
