The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries faces renewed scrutiny after allegations by former members regarding Pastor Lazarus Muoka’s personal life and church doctrine. In August 2025 Legit.ng reported Ada Adiiche an ex‑member’s claim that Muoka secretly married a third wife less than two years after his second wife, Pastor Joy Muoka, died in 2024. Joy Muoka was interred in Imo State that September before guests including Peter Obi and Obi Cubana. No public record exists of Muoka’s earlier marriage dates, and he has not addressed the allegation; the ministry issued no response.
Ada Adiiche, has gone public again, saying church teaching under Muoka caused her to leave her husband. She recounted that Muoka preached a second or third wife “has no husband” before God, and after consulting a senior pastor she walked out of her marriage, which she described as otherwise stable. Adiiche has since criticised the ministry and says she will share more details.
Muoka’s family affairs drew attention earlier when he suspended his son after the younger man’s 2024 wedding, a decision he explained in a video to members. While Joy Muoka’s death was widely reported, no information has emerged about his first wife.
The claim of a third marriage remains unverified. Without confirmation or denial from Muoka, Lord’s Chosen members rely on former members’ accounts Ada Adiiche’s allegation to assess the matter.
