Activist Adetoun Onajobi, also known as Just Adetoun, has challenged Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun over allegations of neglecting public welfare, particularly regarding emergency ambulance services.
This stems from a December 2025 road accident involving boxer Anthony Joshua, where Adetoun claimed the state lacked functional ambulances and the governor was allegedly partying in Ghana.
Adetoun also stated “ Ogun State lacks functional ambulances and often depends on neighboring Lagos State during critical health situations, and accused Governor Dapo Abiodun of neglecting his responsibilities and prioritizing social events over public welfare “
The Ogun State government refuted these allegations, stating the state has multiple emergency response services and describing Adetoun’s claims as “false, malicious, and misleading”.
The police filed a six-count cyberbullying charge against Adetoun, who reportedly went into hiding after failing to honor police invitations. A medical report submitted by her lawyer was found to be fake, and the doctor who issued it was arrested.
Adetoun has been an activist for over 20 years, focusing on social work, humanitarianism, and faith. She founded Feed a Child Community Initiative, a grassroots NGO dedicated to feeding, educating, and dignifying children and families trapped in poverty cycles.
Governor Abiodun has achieved significant milestones in Ogun State, including constructing over 6,000km of roads, developing the Gateway International Airport, and building over 4,000 affordable housing units.
