The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has named former Big Brother Naija housemate Tega Dominic as Special Adviser on Sexual Harassment to the National President-Elect, signaling a renewed push to strengthen ethical standards and workplace safety in Nollywood.
The appointment was confirmed in an official letter issued by the Guild and shared by Tega on her Instagram page on Thursday, where she also formally accepted the role.
According to the appointment letter, the position is designed to safeguard AGN members, promote professional conduct and foster safe working environments across the Nigerian film industry.
AGN said the Office of the Special Adviser on Sexual Harassment will be responsible for developing and implementing anti-harassment policies, advocating ethical behaviour and creating clear frameworks for reporting, investigating and resolving sexual harassment complaints within the Guild.

Describing the role as critical to professionalism in Nollywood, the Guild said Tega Dominic was selected based on her competence, experience and sound judgment.
The letter also stated that the appointment may be terminated in cases of insubordination, misconduct or actions deemed contrary to the Constitution of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
Reacting to the development, Tega described her appointment as a call to service and thanked the AGN leadership for the confidence reposed in her.
She pledged to uphold a zero-tolerance stance on sexual harassment, establish safe and confidential reporting mechanisms, and ensure protection and support for survivors.
Tega said her objective is to help build an industry where professionalism, dignity and respect are non-negotiable, allowing creative talents to thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
