The film, which explores the concept of “black tax,” has resonated strongly with audiences, particularly young adults. Akindele’s relatable storytelling, strong ensemble casting, and aggressive marketing have all contributed to the film’s success. “Behind The Scenes” has also topped the charts in the UK and Ireland, solidifying Akindele’s position as a global filmmaking powerhouse.

Akindele’s dominance at the box office is no surprise, given her impressive track record. With a career spanning over 27 years, starting from the late 1990s, Akindele has established herself as a powerhouse in Nollywood, inspiring a new generation of filmmakers and actors. With this achievement, Akindele becomes the first filmmaker to rank number one at the African box office for three consecutive years. Her innovative marketing strategies, relatable storytelling, and strong ensemble casting have contributed to her enduring success.
Akindele’s success is a testament to her hard work and dedication to her craft. She has created around 33 movies, including acting, directing, and producing roles, and is widely regarded as the “Queen of Nollywood” due to her unmatched box office success and influence in the Nigerian film industry.
